Pearl 14"x5" UltraCast Aluminum Snare Drum

The Pearl Ultracast 14" x 5" Snare Drum delivers a highly articulate, crisp response that provides lively attack of a metal shell with the warmth typically associated with a wood shell. This drum is constructed from a seamless, precision-milled 3mm cast aluminum shell which tapers to 5mm at both bearing edges, functioning similarly to traditional wood reinforcement rings to add tuning stability and warmth.

Pearl equips the Ultracast with premium black powder-coated hardware to match the matte black shell finish. The 2.3mm SuperHoop II triple-flanged hoops ensure consistent tensioning, while 10 brass tube-style lugs minimize shell contact to maximize natural resonance. The included SR-1000 Glide-Lock strainer features a locking throw-off lever and tension knob to secure precise snare settings. The snare is completed with 20-strand C-Type Ultra-Sound snare wires, engineered to maintain sensitivity across a wide dynamic range.
