Pearl 14"x6.5" UltraCast Aluminum Snare Drum

The Pearl Ultracast 14" x 6.5" Snare Drum delivers a controlled, highly responsive tone that blends the warmth of a wood shell with the liveliness of a metal shell. This snare is built around a seamless, precision-milled 3mm cast aluminum shell that tapers to 5mm at both edges, simulating traditional wood reinforcement rings to provide overtone control and tuning stability for concert, studio, or stage applications.

Pearl equips the Ultracast with premium black powder-coated hardware to complement the matte black shell finish. The 2.3mm SuperHoop II triple-flanged hoops ensure even tensioning, while the 10 brass tube-style lugs minimize shell contact to maximize acoustic resonance. The included SR-1000 Glide-Lock strainer utilizes a locking throw-off lever and tension knob to hold settings precisely and reliably. The snare is completed with 20-strand C-Type Ultra-Sound snare wires, designed to maintain articulation and sensitivity across a wide dynamic range.
