Big fan of these sticks. But on of the sticks was already dead when I received them so I haven't been able to use them
Vic Firth STG2 Tim Genis Leggerio Concert Snare Drumsticks are designed for the Orchestral or Solo Snare Drummer looking to play detailed musical passages softly, and with clarity. A unique, barrel shaped beaded tip produces clean double strokes and clear articulation.
Tim Genis STG2 Concert Snare Drumsticks are made from persimmon, which is known for its density, durability, and high impact resistance. These qualities make it a more comfortable alternative to rosewood given its lighter weight. The STG2 produces a full bodied and slightly darker sound than sticks made of hickory, or maple. Try this stick next time you are in the audition circuit, as it is a great option for soft passages in Scheherazade or Lieutenant Kiji.

These sticks are heavy enough with a big bead and deliver a large full sound. I use them for all my general snare drum playing except when a specialty stick is needed.
My timpani were swapped out for a Yamaha DTX-12 because of space limitations. Of course, timpani mallets are too big for the DTX-12 pads. These sticks respond on the pads better than anything else I have - almost are realistic as timpani mallets on real timpanis!
amazing sticks, especially for scheherazade and the fast ppp Prokofiev excerpts. rolls sound great with these too super articulate!!
Very light and great to use
