Dragonfly Percussion Large Tam-Tam Beater - Product Information

The Dragonfly Large Tam-Tam Beater delivers a sound that ranges from huge and poignant very soft and subtle all with a natural easy feel. The 150mm weighted wheel core has enough mass and surface area to activate a huge overtone spectrum on any gong. A double-sided soft/hard covering allows for the extra wide dynamic range. The large diameter core can also sit upright on the floor- very handy for fast changes.

Great Two-Tone Tam-Tam Mallet

Comments:

Both sides of this mallet effectively engage tam-tams. Be advised there seems to be variability in the way this mallet is constructed. As of the time of writing, the photo shown on Steve Weiss differs from the photo shown on Dragonfly's website, and neither of them reflect the product I received. My mallet has a wood handle, whereas I expected a metal handle. I'm sure they were careful to make sure the weight and balance were the same, and I do like the mallet, I was just surprised.
