This is the Rattan Handle version of the Dragonfly Soft Marimba mallet. A cloth covered rubber core makes this mallet perfect for playing the lower three octaves of a 5 octave marimba. It produces a strong fundamental and clean attack. It excels as the bass mallet in multi-mallet playing. The light weight rattan handle allows for more an agile and flexible response.
The Light Marimba Mallet Series from Dragonfly Percussion features a smaller and lighter core than the iconic M-Series. The reduced diameter and mass of these mallets makes them slightly brighter and much more athletic and maneuverable than M-series. They're also a great choice for younger, smaller hands.
