Great Mallet to add to the collection

I am very happy with this Mallet. I bought this mallet because of the weight. Really allows you to access the low tones on your gong. I have a 24" Feng and a 32" Chau. The slightest tap with this mallet gets both of them singing. The double head is nice as well, 2 mallets in 1 is never a bad thing. Would recommend this mallet to anyone looking for a heavier mallet to extract deeper tones from their gong.

Too Soft

This is an excellent mallet, but in my opinion, it's a little too soft. The "hard" side is quite soft to begin with, and the "soft" side is really soft. I custom ordered a harder version of this mallet from Dinesh at Dragonfly Percussion, and this harder custom version is an awesome mallet that I highly recommend.

LOVE This Mallet!

Very versatile, works well on gongs of all sizes, and mixes well when using it simultaneously with another mallet. Small head for more subtle strikes. Weighted so very little pressure needed.
