The Evans MX5 Snare Side Marching Drumhead is a premium 14-inch resonant head designed to deliver a highly articulate, crisp snare response. Constructed from a single ply of 5mil aramid fiber and polyester laminate, this bottom head is engineered to survive the extreme tension requirements of modern marching snare drums while offering better overall sensitivity and a more responsive feel than a Kevlar bottom head. This head is suitable for any indoor or outdoor marching ensemble, whether you're competing in stadiums or gymnasiums.

The overtone control ring helps reinforce the edges of the head and provides the amount of dampening needed to achieve that crispy modern drum corps sound we know and love. Built with Evans' Level 360 Technology collar, the head seats completely flush on the bearing edge right out of the box. This makes tuning fast and uniform across the lugs, giving band directors and tech staff an even stretch that holds its intonation through extreme shifts in heat and humidity.
