This is my 2nd tuxedo bag, but this is my first XL version. The zipper was flimsy on my first bag, but it's so far so good

Lots of mallet bags out there; my other one is a tall circular one (which I use for South American mallets for surdos and the like). Of the large "suit bag" style models on the market, this one's the sturdiest (it doesn't flop around, even when empty) and has the best internal organizational scheme as the rows are offset a bit and thus it is easier to see all mallets at once if you have a fully loaded bag. Tuxedo bags are built to last and are well-priced for their quality.
Great spacious bag. A fellow percussionist had the same bag and that prompted me to purchase one for myself. It easily stores all of my concert percussion gear and makes everything easy to find. It has two large pockets on the outside. It would be great if Humes & Berg had "bellowed" one of the pockets and maybe put some smaller pockets for pencils, tuners, etc on the inside of it. Thus, a 4 instead of a 5.
I've been ordering from Steve Weiss since I was in college. I just bought this stick bag for my son (college freshman music major). Pencil holders, pockets are large enough for music folders, several sections for mallets/sticks and even has backpack straps in addition to regular handles.
Like most of Humes & berg products, this mallet bag is very durable and the straps it has come in very useful. Has a ton of room for multiple pairs of yarn mallets, bass drum mallets, chime, snare sticks, etc! Very satisfied!
