It works!

Comments:

Easy to install, sturdy and unobtrusive. My daughter doesn't gig so this hasn't been put on and taken off a bunch, but for just holding music while wildly drumming it is perfect. We added a band of black elastic (ends sewn together) to hold her music: without the elastic the music tended to migrate outward from the center of the stand and eventually fell off the sides.

Wonderful!

Comments:

Solves one of the most basic problems I have playing drum set with the community bands - getting a good view of the conductor while reading the charts without the crash cymbal hitting the music stand. Future engineers will hopefully add a quick-release mechanism for taking the stand off the post for easier transport, but I am already loving it as is.

Not just for pages anymore

Comments:

This is a good solution for a stick/mallet/accessory instrument tray, too. Just have to be sure the desk tilter bolt is tight enough to support whatever weight you put on it, just as with the Manhasset stands.

Drummer Music Stand

Comments:

I bought one of these several months ago because I was always tripping over my stand and I can place this one right in front of me within reaching distance. The added benefit is I can watch the other players and read while I'm playing without getting a kink in my neck. I bring this to my gigs, practice, wherever I need it and I'm never worried about it falling apart, I can adjust this no matter what kit I'm playing on because of the style of multi-clamp this offers. I don't write reviews but the first review is misleading. this unit is well worth the money, it's a high quality well built stand. 1) This has a large stand (not like the cheap one) that you can place several books on and sheet music without having the papers hanging over the side blowing in any breeze that happens 2) It's not some cheap $9 multi-clamp that strips out after the second time you tighten it, it adjusts to any position I need 3) What am I going to cut with? A kitchen knife or do I spend more money to buy something to cut it with? 4) I'd also have to buy a file to remove any sharp edges so I don't rip my hand open from the sharp metal edges left from cutting it. I'm a drummer not a metal worker. I highly recommend this stand and so do the pro's ... Look up who endorses this stand. Look in Modern drummer. I think it's the August issue.

Yes....but....

Comments:

You can make your own version of this stand for about half the price. 1) Get a music stand ($20) 2) Get a drummer's multi-clamp ($9) 3) Cut the stand to desired length 4) Clamp music stand on hardware, and voila, you have this product. I have been using my homemade version in my teaching studio for about 12 years now.
