Meinl Mongo Santamaria Signature Conga - 11 3/4"

The Meinl 11 3/4" Mongo Santamaria Signature Conga is built in honor of Ramon "Mongo" Santamaria, the Cuban percussionist who became one of the defining figures in Latin jazz. Santamaria brought Afro-Cuban rhythmic traditions into the American jazz and R&B world and earned a place among the most respected conga players of the 20th century. This signature instrument carries his name and is built to reflect his legacy.

The shell is constructed from two plies of American white ash with a high gloss finish, and fitted with gold tone hardware, a curved SSR rim, and a buffalo skin head.
