The Meinl 11" Mongo Santamaria Signature Quinto is an Artist Series model built in honor of Ramon "Mongo" Santamaria, the Cuban percussionist who spent his career bringing Afro-Cuban rhythmic traditions to American audiences and earning a place among the most respected figures in Latin jazz history. This instrument carries his name and is built to reflect the standard he set.

The shell is 2-ply American white ash with a high gloss finish. The shell comes outfitted with gold tone hardware, a curved SSR rim, and a buffalo skin head.
