Meinl Mongo Santamaria Signature Tumba - 12 1/2"

The Meinl 12 1/2" Mongo Santamaria Signature Tumba is a signature model honoring Ramon "Mongo" Santamaria, who left Havana to become one of the central figures in American Latin jazz, collaborating with artists including Tito Puente and Cal Tjader before leading his own ensembles for decades. This instrument carries his name and is built as a tribute to his legacy.

The shell is constructed of 2 plies of American white ash with a high gloss finish to let the beautiful woodgrain shine. The shell comes outfitted with gold tone hardware, a curved SSR rim, and a buffalo skin head.
