Upon opening the box of my new G3T Concert SD, and without any initial adjustments, the high quality design and factory tuning of this instrument had already exceeded my expectations. As a percussionist, much of my time and career has been dedicated to listening to the fine details of instruments (especially snare drums). Inevitably, this involves constant tuning, tweaks, and very subtle adjustments for the sake of the ensemble, venue, style, and personal preference. That's why it was so easy to fall in love with the G3T, as it was specifically designed with this element of versatility, quality, and customization in mind. The ability to make sonic adjustments on multiple axises with incredible precision makes all the difference in the world. The ITaP system allows snare tension and pressure to be controlled independently, which vastly expands the usable spectrum of sound quality and sensitivity - giving you the ultimate control over musicality with any given piece, style, or venue. A full dynamic range and pure sensitivity is inherently present with 3 separate snare materials (steel spiral, coated/ uncoated, and gold cable) and also independently adjustable with 3 corresponding tensioners. I specifically remember making minor tension adjustments to the softest range for a concert hall recording session with the G3T, and it still continued to produce a pure snare response as I played progressively softer. Once this final adjustment was made, all my recording engineer and I could say was "wow". No matter what or how you play, you'll be blown away by the level of quality and detail that the G3T Concert Snare can facilitate. When musicianship and professional results are essential for your music, it's important to know that you can consistently rely on the equipment.
