Overalls extremely nice, but could be improved

Comments:

Drum is amazingly good. Dry, focused, smooth and articulate. Individual snare tensioners with master on/off throw isn't the best design, however. The individual tensioners seem nice, and do work, but take a lot of tweaking to get them in a usable range so you do not need to adjust both, to just release one snare system. Then to tension it back up, you generally need to adjust both again. A far better design would have been to have 3 individual levers, where you can just set and forget the usable tension, to quickly turn them on or off. Instead you have to adjust them up to playing tension each time, and test to see if the response is adequate. In a playing situation that requires different settings, this is inconvenient. Yes, all the options are there, but having to actually play the drum to test the tension each time isn't really the best system of engagement. You can't rapidly go from one setting to another. You always have to retention...adjusting typically both sides, each time. To be honest, it's annoying, but what did you expect from a Ludwig throwoff? Other than that, the drum sounds and plays amazingly well, and having the different options is really great, just inconvenient to switch between.
