I picked up the medium Meinl aluminum shaker. It is pretty big for a medium. It is about as big as a man's forearm but thicker. It is a perfect size for what I wanted. Nice tone and good shape of two cones fused together. This keeps the beads in the middle for best sound. I would buy it again.

I wanted a shaker that cut through an indoor percussion ensemble. This one fit the bill. The shaker not only cuts but is very clear rhythmically. I love this shaker and highly recommend it. But beware, it is loud.
