A warm, dark mallet that can articulate, the TG3 uses a slightly thicker width bamboo than the TG1 & 2 to add the correct amount of low overtones in the sound. A great general mallet.

A fine product

This mallet is extremely well-crafted. I had anticipated a slightly more rounded quality from the mallet when I first employed it for rehearsals and performances; that notwithstanding, its timbral qualities have "grown on me." I still prefer the the TG-4s (I love the TG-4s and particularly the TG-6s) for some passages of more expansive tonal quality requiring moderate clarity of articulation.
