Very Colorful Mallets

Comments:

These mallets make a great pair of hard timpani mallets and speak very well. They produce a very colorful timpani sound.

Purchased for my son

Comments:

The sticks arrived in a timely manner. I have not heard a peep from my son so I am guessing they are pretty good sticks eh?

Ok mallets, but......

Comments:

These are nice sounding mallets, but are almost exactly the same as the GEN6 hard tonal, the difference being mainly that the GEN6 shaft is lighter and more tapered. The descriptions provided by the manufacturer, and no doubt simply reproduced by SW, leave a lot to be desired. I would like a better comparison between all of the Tim Genis models, specifically, a scale from hardest to softest. I'm quite happy with the Molto Articulate mallets, but I am only left to guess that they are the hardest ones. I guess they sell more like this, since no store I've come across stocks these fine mallets so it is impossible to try them out beforehand.

Very good mallets!

Comments:

I'm very impressed with these mallets. They are lightweight and have a great attack and sound. I'm using them on Cahn's Raga No. 1 right now and it sounds good!
