Suite Brazil 500 by Ney Rosauro is a very colorful and exotic work full of emotion and energy in 7 movements. The piece depicts a voyage through Brazilian historical facts and cultural heritage. Very popular with audiences, the piece includes a great variety of contrasts, beautiful melodies and a strong and happy Brazilian mood. The original orchestral version has twelve movements and lasts approximately 40 to 45 minutes. The wind ensemble versions entitled Suite Brazil 500, have seven movements and last approximately 22 minutes.

The soloist plays: Marimba, 4 tom toms, susp.cymbal, plastic tube, cup gong, several seed bundles or wooden shakers, bird whistles, metal tube in "D", berimbau, tamborim, tambourine or pandeiro, spring guiro and repinique.
