The authors of this collection were members of the jury at the "4th International Percussion Competition" 1999 in Luxembourg. The compositions presented here were written under the impression of the excellent performance of the participants - on the initiative of Siegfrid Fink. All of them are on a high technical level and offer complex possibilites to advanced timpani players.
