I really love this sight reading method book! I like that it has you visualize the scale shapes of what you would actually play in a key. It had me look at sight reading in a whole new way and each section deals with a different aspect of sight reading and builds in complexity (stepwise, scales, arpeggios, etc.). It really is helping me recognize patterns in the music that allows me to look ahead and not have to concentrate on each note, but see things in groups. It's also great that this book is focused on mallet percussion. Another thing that I pair with this book is a dissertation from Ming-Hui Kuo: "STRATEGIES AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING SIGHT-READING ON MARIMBA".
