I've had these for 2016 and they're still working great. I've taken them all over the world for gigs and they've served their purpose marvelously. They are a medium-sized ball mallet that is perfect for long rolls from pianissimo to fortissimo. They also work well for loud sforzando hits, when you need a powerful, yet fluffy sound. The carbon fiber handles give the mallet a lighter feel and can be good for chamber orchestra settings. I highly recommend for those who need an all-around fluffy mallet. It's worth the expensive price, because you pay for it in gigs.

I've enjoyed using the Herbert mallets a great deal. Very smooth sound and a pleasure to use. The carbon fiber handles provide a consistent weight and are perfectly straight every time. Nice and light.

The mallets are great! they have very nice sound but if playing powerful and loud it can ruin the head, they are also lightweight which makes move faster! it was worth to pay for them
