Innovative Signature Series ES1 Ed Soph Maple Drumsticks - Product Information

Ed Soph, Associate Professor of Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas and drummer with many big bands including the bands of Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, Bill Watrous and Clark Terry, has assisted Innovative Percussion in developing this new line of drumsticks with the drum set player in mind. The first of our Combo Drumstick Series, the Ed Soph drumsticks, are available in maple for combo or small group playing or white hickory for big band playing and feature an acorn-shaped bead for clarity on drums and cymbals.

Pretty good drumstick, kind of light to give the drummer an easier way to perform without carrying the worry of being too focus on exercising the sticks too much to play a certain piece, but in other hands, I consider them way too light, at high speeds almost don't feel them and at time you may confuse yourself because you don't feel if you're playing complete rhythms.

Great Feel, Long-lasting

These sticks feel great. I've played Promark sticks for years, then Vic Firth sticks for years. I just tried these sticks and they feel great; they have a good balance to them. And they last longer than my other sticks.
