I knew what I was looking for entering this online store. Mutes were easy to find and I received earlier than promised! Brilliant. The product performed as expected. Note: When playing timpano with mute on, it needs to be at the edge as the string buzzes against the head, but doesn't buzz when timpano "next door" is played.

These mufflers seem to be very durable but relatively light. The stitching utilized on the mufflers seems uniform and has held up quite well for several years to date. The suspension/loop cord also seems quite durable and is of sufficient length to loop around attachments on timpani without manifesting excessive slack on the cord itself. Their "charcoal" color does lend them a neutral quality that is finally quite appropriate to the concert hall. In my humble opinion, these mufflers are a fine product and I strongly recommend them for purchase.
